Neve ParitzkiJerusalem is home to the first tunnel for bicycles in Israel.

The Kerem Tunnel allows for a unique hiking and riding experience.


The Kerem Tunnel, Israel's first bike tunnel, opened as part of the Jerusalem Ring Path. This 42-kilometer cycle route is located around Jerusalem.

The tunnel is located through the Nahal-Refaim-Emek-Motza path. Its southern entry is located in Refaim Park under Ein Laban. The northern entrance, Nahal Ein Kerem, is just half a kilometer away from the Kerem junction.

נווה פריצקי The 2.1-kilometer-long tunnel was officially opened by Jerusalem's Heritage Minister ZeevElkin. The ceremony was also attended by Mayor Moshelion Avi Balehnikov Gihon Water Company chairman, as well as thousands of cyclists.

Jerusalem was once sought-after tourist destination due to its historical past. Elkin said that the present tourism industry is one of Jerusalem's historical treasures and incorporates modern day tourism. I encourage all cyclists to take a trip and enjoy the new, well-maintained and modern route that takes in the view of Old Jerusalem.
